Program Overview
Blue Skye Construction’s Summer Internship Program provides interns with real-world, hands-on experience supporting the management of multimillion-dollar construction projects. Interns work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Project Engineers, and Estimators across multiple phases of construction.
This internship is designed for junior- and senior-level Construction Management and related majors seeking meaningful field and office experience. Our program offers a realistic view of the construction industry while fostering professional growth in a fast-paced, challenging environment. Interns gain exposure to both field operations and corporate processes while developing the skills necessary for a successful career in construction management.

Founded in 2006, Blue Skye Construction, LLC is a Washington, DC–based construction firm specializing in Design/Build, General Contracting, and Construction Management services. Blue Skye is a DC Government–Certified Business Enterprise (CBE) and Small Business Enterprise (SBE).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Develop an understanding of construction management processes and contract administration.
Assist with preconstruction coordination, document distribution, bid lists, site visits, take-offs, and bid meetings.
Participate in daily communication with project teams, subcontractors, architects, engineers, inspectors, and owners.
Research and compile data for project reports.
Gain exposure to construction technology and software.
Knowledge, Experience, and Special Skills Required
Rising sophomore, junior, or senior pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to assess and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Passionate, self-motivated, and dedicated to high-quality work
Ability to perform duties in a digital/paperless environment
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
