Job Title: Social Media Manager

Department: Digital Media

Reports To: Director of Digital and Social Content

Summary

The Seattle Seahawks are seeking a Social Media Manager to oversee day-to-day programming and content creation for Seahawks channels. The responsibilities for this role will include management of the Team’s main account on Instagram, X, Facebook etc., while providing support on various other platforms and channels as assigned.

This candidate must be an excellent writer with a strong background in social media management and an understanding of what works and what does not work on multiple social media platforms. The candidate’s strategic decisions will be based on analytical performance and the candidate should have a keen understanding of how to optimize content on specific channels. While this role will be empowered to pursue content ideas of their own, they will frequently collaborate with other content creators in video and design to build and deliver content. This candidate should have an extensive background in content creation and curation and a proven track record of success in previous roles.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Oversee day-to-day social programming on Seahawks owned social platforms
  • Play a key role in curation of the Seahawks Instagram feed, ensuring cohesion of visual look across IG Stories and in-feed content
  • Ensure all social content adheres to the guidelines and communication policies related to each respective brand and specific platform
  • Generate content ideas to entertain, inform and drive engagement across a wide variety of social media accounts related to the Seahawks brand and First & Goal Inc. throughout the calendar year
  • Manage multiple direct reports, including ensuring all deadlines are met and appropriate feedback is relayed in a timely manner
  • Oversee the part time International Content Coordinator and manage agency relationship for Seahawks international accounts, including Seahawks Canada, Seahawks Deutsch and Seahawks AUNZ. Also provides support and content strategy recommendations for agencies
  • Monitor and track social media KPIs, providing reports to leadership as well as using findings to continuously improve overall performance
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from multiple departments within the organization to achieve key business objectives

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a professional social media role
  • Strong eye for social-friendly content, with ability to understand what will perform well
  • Understanding of the game of football
  • Above average fluency in social media platforms, including emerging platforms, as well as their analytics
  • Basic photo and video editing experience (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines and thrive in the 24/7 NFL news cycle, handling multiple tasks at once with great attention to detail
  • Thrive in a team setting where working and interacting with others is essential for content creation
  • Interest and experience in the sports and entertainment industry is a plus
  • Must be able to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, early mornings and holidays as needed

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • The salary range for this position is: $95,000 – $100,000. The salary range applies to the current posting. The posted salary range may vary based on key factors including, but not limited to, education, job-related knowledge, experience and skill set
