Job Description

Careerscape is supporting a client opening for a Remote Medical Receptionist. This role will support patient communication, appointment scheduling, and basic administrative tasks for a growing healthcare organization.

This is an entry-level opportunity designed for candidates with little to no prior medical experience who are interested in starting a career in healthcare administration.

You will be the first point of contact for patients, helping manage appointments, answer basic questions, and ensure a smooth and professional experience.

Training will be provided, and candidates from customer service, retail, hospitality, or administrative backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments
  • Answer phone calls and respond to basic patient inquiries
  • Assist with patient intake forms and basic documentation
  • Update and maintain patient records in internal systems
  • Handle appointment changes, cancellations, and follow-ups
  • Respond to emails and patient messages
  • Coordinate with internal staff to support daily operations
  • Maintain a professional and friendly tone with patients
  • Follow company procedures and confidentiality guidelines
  • Support general administrative tasks as needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 0-2 years of experience in healthcare, medical office, receptionist, customer service, or administrative roles preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable handling phone-based patient interactions
  • Basic computer skills, including email, data entry, and scheduling systems
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage a high volume of requests
