Job Description

We are working on a five day a week role to help with specs/operations in TD for a great childrens company.

• Pay:Hourly rate is based on experience around 40-45 an hour but may go up based on skill set. 

Responsibilities: 

• Help to build out current tech packs based on directives but also providing insight based on experience (recommendations, adjustments, etc).
• Manage the technical design development process from initial concept and prototype through to production construction/fit approval
• Manage the development and maintenance of tech packs throughout the creation process
• Along with PD and production team, problem-solve technical issues related to fit and execution including fabric application, construction, grading and assist in cost engineering
• Ensure silhouette is appropriately sized for age/size ranges
• Effectively communicate fit intent and construction revisions to overseas factory via fit notes, spec sheets, diagrams, pattern corrections and/or digital photos

Required Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

• 4-6 years or more of baby apparel technical design work experience required
• College degree, certificate program or equivalent professional work experience
• Knowledge of prints/repeat scales, etc.

Skills:

• Proven expertise in baby apparel fitting, spec creation and pattern correction/manipulation
• Experience with PLM systems including beproduct
• Ability to create and edit tech / spec packs
• Experience in Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience of tech packs within Excel
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines
